Throwing items on the right recycling bins. Most of the recyclables in home settings are plastic or paper products. In some instances, there may be some pieces of wood every now and then or glass bottles every so often. Proper disposal involves two stages. The first one is to clean out the beverage containers before putting them in the properly colored recycling bins. The second step is bringing the said bin to the curbside or brought to the recycling depot for some spot on cash. For paper products, the cardboard boxes need to be properly folded with all the flaps tucked in and tied properly. Newspapers and other papers need to be properly tied with strings. Items which should not be thrown on recycling bins. There are items that are allowed in the recycling bins and there are things that these containers cannot accommodate. These include old car batteries, old car parts, tires and small electrical appliances. One should not throw away dead animals, paint cans, hazardous cleaning materials, and hair dyes. These bins also do not allow pornographic materials, old diskettes, computer parts, and papers with important information. Office of personal materials should be shredded first to avoid leakage of information.
Having a recycling program requires the right kind of recycling bins, the idea about what to throw, and what not to dispose into these bins. Being armed and knowledgeable about these things can contribute a lot in making your home or office recycling program a success.
